Westdale is the capital city of Westeros. The city is nestled between the hills of the Talbot river valley and surrounded by earthwork defense wall. The city started out as a small farming town before expanding to its current size and a patchwork of farmsteads that the expanding city engulfed are still checkered throughout it. The city grew mostly thanks to the major waterway that passes through the middle of the city used by the hobbits to transport goods to and from human lands. The east and west walls of the city have small sturdy fortresses build into them that span the river and have portcullises that can be lowered to block passage on the river. These fortresses are known as the East Bulwark and West Bulwark respectively and serve to regulate traffic in and out of the city on the river and also on land as the only entrances to the city on land are through the bulwarks aswell. The west end of town contains most of the city’s shops and a large town square with an open air market. The largest temple of Avandra in Darunia sits in the middle of the town square. The east end of town is mostly houses, a few temples and Bright-Amber Hall the capital building.
Bright-Amber Hall is a huge round building with hobbit influenced architecture that is the home of Duchess Theodora Gilcrest, ruler of Westeros. The building is coated with a shiny lacquer that gives that building a golden glow. The building sits next to the river on the north side and is surrounded by a beautiful garden filled with fruit trees and flowers.
